205 MeeT uP
Just met the 205 gang, minus Miss Liu who's enjoying herself in Korea (BLEAH!). It's been a long long while, really... But it's always nice to meet old friends. Did quite a bit of catching up and of course, how can we not catch up on some new gossips as well?? The conclusion to our bitching is that NBS is a REALLY MESSY place. Morale of the story: Don't do anything stupid because they tend to spread quickly not just to all the other big 4, but also to the banking sector as well. Telling people not to tell other people DOES NOT WORK WELL. And facebook is an amazing catalyst for speeding the process. So, BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WRITE OR POST ON FB!
As for Miss Tan, hope you can find something else you like better in the next half a year. And more importantly, find someone who can make you a tai tai so that you don't have to worry about finding something else you like better in the next half a year because you can just shake leg at home already and go LV everyday! WOOOHOO!!!

HapPY 1sT BirTHDaY!!! =)
Location:
Spruce Restaurant, Bar & Bakery
320 Tanglin Road, Phoenix Park
Well the person got the reservation timing wrong but doesn't really matter as they were fast in setting up. That's what I like about this place. Fast, efficient and very good service! Not to mention consistent too. The staff were friendly, and even bother to play with Ilysia while moving around to serve us water and food. Nothing was being compromised.
Our birthday girl having fun with her new Club 21 bag from her mummy dearest.
I think I went nuts just now when the food came. I was busy performing my usual ritual of food tasting from everyone else's plates except mine! :S A spread of food never fails to excite me!!!
Baked potatoes for Ilysia. I had half of it (I meant half a piece, not half the plate). Nothing spectacular but Ivan asked why they served Chinese dish. :S A little oily though. The banana pancake in the background belonged to Ilysia and Vink as well... Nope, I did not eat bananas but I did try the pork (YES) sausage at the back. Not very salty or porky.
My dish. Eggs + salmon + bread + caviar. It was good! The caviar was cleverly added to subtly bring out a tinch of saltiness and sourness. Complemented the salmon very well. Only thing was, I had an overdose of eggs after going through half the bowl. I didn't dare to have eggs for the next 2 days for fear of high cholestrol (Ehhh... I'm serious...). The bread was good though.
The Winnie the Pooh cake from Swensen's. And that's the $9.90 one year old birthday candle that burned for 30 seconds.

wE're GoiNg tO tHe ZoO zOo zOO!!! (BuT wE'rE goINg FoR bReKKiE beForE tHat)
Location:
It started with a bang, literally. Ilysia fell from the chair, hit her head on the table and lie flat on the floor! Everyone in the caf was super shock (including the ang moh who sat opposite and witnessed the whole incident)! I froze, Ivan picked her up and Vink was laughing loudly! :S I guess it happens to her ALL THE TIME because she's becoming quite an active little thing. Anyway she stopped crying like after 1 minute so yea, nothing serious... THANK GOD!
First up, the Latte. Really good, I tell you! The texture was just right - slightly creamy and not too thin, but not too rich either. It was really bitter though. The aroma was strong. The first sip practically shook me up. But ya, it's one of the better lattes that I have tried. And it was only less than 4 bucks a cup! As you can see, they even put in the effort to create some patterns (a leaf, I supposed) with the cream, which I think is pretty rare in Singapore. 4.5 out of 5!
Lattes for 3 sleepy adults.
I had scrambled egg + cheese + bacon toastie. It was nice. There isn't anything that is super duper special about it but it was good. The cheese was well melted and blended well with the eggs. The bread was crispy but the eggs and cheese were juicy, so it wasn't too dry. Nice! I didn't really like the bacon though, but then again, I didn't really like bacons to begin with! :S And I think it's $5.50 so it's quite worth it, considering the quality was satisfactory. It came with a side of orange.
The toastie and my failed attempt to take a close up shot of what it's made out of...
Vink had something like toast bread with scrambled eggs. Came with it's jam and cheese spread. Ehhh really nothing much to comment on it, except we didn't like the jam (all 3 of us) but yet again, all 3 of us are not "jammers". Jams are too sweet for us. Vink thought the bread tasted weird while Ivan commented that the eggs tasted weird. So it's a weird combination. Both tasted ok to me. :S The bread was toasted to perfection. Just slightly crisp and had a nice sweet taste. It's a pity though that it wasn't hot enough to melt the cheese, so spreading the cheese was quite a chore.
Scrambled eggs with cheese and jam spread and a side of avocado for Miss Ilysia Lee Yan Jie. That's what caused her to hit her head... The evil avocado....
I think Ivan's was Cajun chicken? I only tasted the chips. Ivan said it was good.
The impressive presentation! Looks so tempting!
Vink trying hard to prevent her from removing the cap.
I couldn't help but take pictures of these animal chairs in KFC! So cute! And very lifelike too...
Ilysia in action!

FreeBiEs aRE GooD!!!
Location:
O-An Japanese Resturant
16 Raffles Quay
#B1-16 Hong Leong Building
Here's what we ordered:
Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen
They boiled their eggs the Japanese way, you know, watery york and half boiled whites. 小胖 seemed super amazed by it. :S It was a little too salty though. And how come only gimme half the egg?! Zzzz... Japanese hard boiled eggs are my favourite lor!
The only problem with it really is the ramen. I just feel that it's a bit over cooked. Or maybe it was the kind of ramen they used. It's just too soft. It lacks that springy texture. But then again, it might be me la. Too critical.... :S Cos it's still acceptable ma.
I think the bill came up to about 24-26. But who cares? I'm not paying. =)
Ok, overall, I give 4 thumbs up! I borrowed 小胖's fingers.
小胖! Let's do lunch again! I want more free meals. =) And no, I don't think I want to change my blog to www.yummyinmytummy.blogspot.com . Thanks much.

WAR!!!!! .... dRoBe....
I can't believe my mum and sis went to pick some of these shirts cos they said can wear at home... -.- Anyway if any of you want any of it, please do contact me. Some of them have only been worn less than 5 times. :S Otherwise, they will be going to the Salvation Army some time next week when I'm free.
I tend to categorise my stuff so please don't shock at how "organised" I am (because Miss Wong was amazed that I hang my clothes according to colours and fold them according to types. She said I'm starting to scare her... Why???) And yes, I have the ability to remember where I got my clothes from. I AM NOT A FREAK.:
The Blues
Item 01
Bought this in the then Seiyu (and now BHG). Playboy was a hot brand back then!
Item 02
Item 03
The Turtle Necks
Item 05
Item 06Black/Maroon
Another one of my same design different colours collection. :S These were from Studio. I think they were quite a steal. The last time I wore the black one was at AA101 presentation back in NTU. After that, I just grew out of them... Literally... -.-
Item 07
One of my knitted shirts (There're about another 8 or 9 in my closet that I still don't bear to part...). This was from Seed (that Malaysian brand, if any of you can remember). I have a short sleeved version of this in light brown which I will keep forever and ever (until the next war, at least) because I can't believe I could actually squeeze into something so tiny!! Gosh...
Item 08
Got this in Peninsula... I have no idea what's with the "8". Probably representing my figure now! =x
Item 09
Item 10
Item 11
Item 12
An OP T-shirt that I wear occasionally to BBQ or downstairs. I didn't like it because there was something hard and sharp behind those prints and it always poked my chest. As you can see, it requires intensive ironing.
Item 13
This was a Christmas present from Ivan during their first or second year of relationship. I used to wear this quite a lot until one day I realised that it couldn't contain me. I saw the figure "8" at my tummy and that was when i decided to 把它打进冷宫!
Item 14
Another gift, but from Danny when he was back from Bangkok, I think. Sorry la, but really not my style. :S
Hard Rockers
Item 15
Vink bought this imitated T-shirt when she was in Phuket. Didn't wear much of it as the colour was too ermm fake. But no doubt about it, it really did fly over from Phuket!
Item 16
Orange-ey
Orange, to me, is a very hip colour but it's super difficult to carry off. And so, after a few attempts, I gave up. No more oranges in my wardrobe! Out you go!
Item 17
A Hob Nob T-shirt I bought from a push cart in Seiyu. If I'm not wrong, I bought this due to the fact that the design is at the back of the T-shirt and there was a period were designs at the back were popular. And I realised I had none. Anywooo, I practically never wore this.
Item 18
One of my super huge and oversized T-shirts. What can I say? I was an oversized kid (although I still am). Oh but I was trying to mimic the ABC look when I bought it, you know, everything oversized, including yourself??? :x I quite like this T-shirt actually but no la, I won't wear it again so no point keeping!
Gloomy Greys...
Item 20
Item 22
Yet another T-shirt from primary school. Cousin Karen bought this for me at Bishan Junction 8! Everyone had one of these in the 90's. Remember that golf guy logo??? I wanted to wear this as an inner wear but it's ok la. I think I'll just buy another one if I need a grey under garment.
Don't Ask!
Everyone has their moments of fashion disaster, just that some are more ermm disasterous than others. :S
Item 24
Similar to above, there was an era where prints at the bottom of shirts were labelled as "fashionable". Ya but I wore like twice maybe? Bought in the same period as above.
Item 25
Just don't! Shh! Shh!
Forced (Hall and Clubs T-shirts) and Freebies (also from hall and clubs)!
I have A LOT more from where these were coming from. Just keep some of them as momento sake (although I reckon I will start throwing them in another half a year). Each of them costs about 10-20 dollars and I have like practically 15 to 20 hall and club t-shirts. I was forced! Zzzz...
Item 27
Item 28
Item 29
Exposed! (My ka Mor)
Item 30
Item 31
Cover Up Please! (Jeans and Pants)
Last count, I had 20 pairs of jeans. =X Anyhow, I'm still keeping a couple of these jeans because I still like them even though I can't fit into them any more... But if someone wants to adopt them, please, please let me know. Save me from misery and cupboard space...
Item 32
Item 33
Item 34
I remember these! U bought it because we were taking a family protrait when Vink graduated. I didn't have a pair of formal pants back then so I went TopMan and got these, only to realise that the photographer did not take anything from the waist down. Thanks man! That was a relieve to know. -.- And this is probably my mini-est pair of pants I have. Look at those waist! I was trying the 3 days apple diet when I was in uni because I needed to wear these pants for a presentation! Pam, you remember these pants?! The super tight and mini ones! It's here now!
Item 36
Item 37
My first pair of Levi's! And I didn't wear it often because Levi's jeans just don't fit me somehow!
Item 38
Item 39
Item 40
What's on my Head?? Caps!
I used to buy a lot of caps. They are great for covering up my super messy hair but it's a love and hate relationship. I can't help but sweat like nuts when I'm wearing caps (and when I'm not).
Item 41
Item 42
Item 43
On my Feet...
SERIOUSLY! Blogspot should consider making blogging easier! I took like 45 minutes at least to load the pictures because only 5 were allowed at one go + another 2-3 half days just to do the layouts cos the stupid alignments all gone haywired when they were on the page! Zzzz... Luckily, I needed to kill time.....

DiM SuM HunKieS
Anyway big thanks to Mr. Lee MT for bringing us to Geylang today! Before you think anything unrighteous, we were going there for the other F... FOOD! Yes we went for dim sum. Probably half of Singapore has been there before (even Yiwei did! I must have been living in a well all these years...), but i belong to the other half who hasn't. And thanks for wanting to treat us but you're a father now! Put your money to better use like buying milk powder and diapers! Lol...
Location:
126 Sims Avenue
Here's a challenge: How do you pronounce “揾到食”? (A) Nie Dao Shi (B) Wen Dao Shi (C) Chang Dao Shi (D) Cheng Dao Si? If you choose (A) like Mr. Lee and Mr. Ou, then you are wrong! But if you choose (B) like moi, congratulations! Your cheena is as powderfully as meeee!
We had their signature tofu, siew mai, har kao, pan fried carrot cake, chicken's feet, mango-banana fritters (I think), curry cheong fun, hokkien mee and ice barley for drinks! YES ALL 3 OF US ONLY! Lol...
Not so good: chicken's feet (because I didn't try as me no chicken!), mango-banana fritters (because me no banana eater!), curry cheong fun (SUPER weird combi... Curry and Cheong Fun don't go well together. No fusion and the flour taste of the cheong fun is just overwhelming for me personally. The curry itself was pretty good though. Spicy, every sense of the word... =X)
In the end, we only paid like about $34??? SUPER WORTH! Definitely value for money! =) All 3 dim sum dollies (not! Hunkies! =P) gave 2 thumbs up each! That's 1, 2, err... 3, 4, 5, 6 thumbs up!!!!
Of course, I did not forget to grab my favourite cup of rocher soya bean on my way back... =) I'm drinking it on your behalf, tauhua buddy!
