Y.E.S S.I.R.!!!! Left, Right, LEFT, RIGHT!!!!

The whole reservist thing is getting to me, BIG. Spending hasn't really gone down despite being in camp. Truly understood and realised the meaning of "retail therapy". The excuse of "I did not travel this time round, so it is justified for me to spend" eases a huge part of my guilt. Besides, I'm boosting the already poor economy. But at the end of the day, when I look at my accounts, every explanation I had for buying a certain piece of junk that I will use maybe 1000 years later and that one cup of coffee which can buy me another 1000 cups in a Kopitiam seems to just fall apart. YES, MY SAVINGS ARE DEPLETING! And am I glad it's finally pay day! :)
I'm falling in love with Kith. Been there like 3 or 4 times in the past 2-3 weeks. So glad to live where I live! A cup of good latte can really perk my day. And the ice-cream are just amazing! Do commit the sin if any of you happens to be in the area. It's worth it...
People always say that ICT is a great escape from work. Well, I really don't know... For most part of it, it seems like we're paid to do mundane and not exactly clever stuff, if we're actually doing any work at all. But a big part of me just cannot take the mental torture of having to wait endlessly for something to happen. And when we start doing it, it takes 1 hour or less to complete, which is grossly unproportional to the time we waited for things to happen. And to top it all off, to wait until the scorching sun. Thanks, I have an uneven tan now. :S
Despite all these bitching, the inertia to deflower my audit virginity is still as strong. Hearing who and who leaving their jobs even before they have another stream of stable income just puts me off even further. I guess I'm just a chicken. Or maybe I need money to sustain my starbucks. Excuses, excuses... If people with worse off financial situations can do it, so should I be able to! It's the fear of the new. Okay! It's time to really just take the consideration even more seriously now! Pluck me out of roots and plant me somewhere else please...
If I survive the 4 days 3 nights exercise, someone please reward me with nice food and beer. Back to squeezing more junks into my mini field pack.
Looking forward to Hossan Leong's Show! A celebration to the end of my imprisonment! :) Counting down to 1!!!

205 MeeT uP

The past 2 weeks have been nice... I think it's the first time in 2 years where I go on leave with total ease... There were tons of things accumulating in my room for the past few years and finally took the effort to clear them. Then did lots of shopping to fill up the empty spaces. :) Not very happy with the amount on my expenses account excel spreadsheet though. :( It's only half way through the month but I have already past the 4 figure mark. :S I'M ON LEAVE so spare me the lecture on savings!

My curry combo at Liang Court Basement

Just met the 205 gang, minus Miss Liu who's enjoying herself in Korea (BLEAH!). It's been a long long while, really... But it's always nice to meet old friends. Did quite a bit of catching up and of course, how can we not catch up on some new gossips as well?? The conclusion to our bitching is that NBS is a REALLY MESSY place. Morale of the story: Don't do anything stupid because they tend to spread quickly not just to all the other big 4, but also to the banking sector as well. Telling people not to tell other people DOES NOT WORK WELL. And facebook is an amazing catalyst for speeding the process. So, BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WRITE OR POST ON FB!

Glad that Mr. Koh is moving on. Wish you all the best! Bury the unhappy and welcome the future! You've gotta try it out before you know if you've made the right decision yea? But sorry, I am still a small 咔 so no accounts to refer to you yet. I'll go to you when I have my own business yea? :P And yea, you are to us still an eligible bachelor. Maybe if you start working out again, you can finally be a social escort. But you have gotta dance with those 2 ang moh aunties first. ;)

As for Miss Tan, hope you can find something else you like better in the next half a year. And more importantly, find someone who can make you a tai tai so that you don't have to worry about finding something else you like better in the next half a year because you can just shake leg at home already and go LV everyday! WOOOHOO!!!

Totally enjoyed dinner at Mei-di ya + drinks at The Pump Room. The band was amazing, isn't it? A pity we were in the wrong era. The band is "Jive Talking" by the way.

Let's do this again soon! And complete with Miss Liu! If you want, Mr. Koh, you can always sms best friend! I miss seeing you scold him! :) Don't wait for another 1 or 2 years! I might be gone next year (I HOPE!) so let's do it in October when everyone is back beh! =)

HapPY 1sT BirTHDaY!!! =)

Happy birthday Ilysia!!!! It's one year already! Time flies... You were so tiny when I first saw you at the hospital. Eyes won't even opened! And look at you now! Trying to climb stairs already! Gosh.... Cliche as it may sound, I wish a healthy and happy life ahead of you! =)

Mummy and Ilysia. The birthday Princess and her crown.

And we did a little celebration at Spruce...

Trying my hands at artist shots... :S

Location:
Spruce Restaurant, Bar & Bakery
320 Tanglin Road, Phoenix Park

Well the person got the reservation timing wrong but doesn't really matter as they were fast in setting up. That's what I like about this place. Fast, efficient and very good service! Not to mention consistent too. The staff were friendly, and even bother to play with Ilysia while moving around to serve us water and food. Nothing was being compromised.

Our birthday girl having fun with her new Club 21 bag from her mummy dearest.

We sat at the private function room which Ivan reserved a couple of days ago. A very looooong and cosy room with a super high V ceiling. I felt like I was in some cottage in Europe or New Zealand. The big window didn't offer much of a view but still, the greens did provide an additional flavour to the whole country style, relax feel. I like the fact that it was very simple. There wasn't any fancy chair or cutlery or ornaments in the room, just one vase of simple floral (or should I say branches) arrangement and an elegant chandelier. Nothing extravagant. Nevertheless, I thought they could have played some music, or at least provide us that option to either have it or not. It was a little quiet during certain times. :S
Daddy and Ivan in the room.
The chandelier.
View to the outside world. Can you spot Ilysia?

I think I went nuts just now when the food came. I was busy performing my usual ritual of food tasting from everyone else's plates except mine! :S A spread of food never fails to excite me!!!

Latte was up first. It wasn't too bad but not as good as Kith's. In fact, pretty far from it. It was quite potent but the texture was missing. No sugar was required for this one. But at 6 bucks a cup, I couldn't bear to order another cup, although I wasn't the one paying.

Mummy had this ice-cream waffle. No idea how it tasted like. Didn't bother to try...

Venus ate this pasta. Pretty good, the tomato sauce was creamy and smooth. But I think it should be too rich if you have to eat the whole bowl.

Dad ate this big breakfast look-a-like thingy. The egg was fluffy, not much taste. And mushrooms and vegetables were buried underneath it. Other than it being slightly oily to me, I think it's a very healthy breakfast. Not something I would order for a meal though, unless I wanted to detox. Forgetable...

Absolutely HEART the marconi and cheese! It was creamy and juicy on the inside, and crisp on the outside. Baked to perfection! Everyone was singing praises! Definitely worth the 7 bucks. I felt proud of myself for ordering it. Hehe... A must try for me.

Baked potatoes for Ilysia. I had half of it (I meant half a piece, not half the plate). Nothing spectacular but Ivan asked why they served Chinese dish. :S A little oily though. The banana pancake in the background belonged to Ilysia and Vink as well... Nope, I did not eat bananas but I did try the pork (YES) sausage at the back. Not very salty or porky.

My dish. Eggs + salmon + bread + caviar. It was good! The caviar was cleverly added to subtly bring out a tinch of saltiness and sourness. Complemented the salmon very well. Only thing was, I had an overdose of eggs after going through half the bowl. I didn't dare to have eggs for the next 2 days for fear of high cholestrol (Ehhh... I'm serious...). The bread was good though.

The Winnie the Pooh cake from Swensen's. And that's the $9.90 one year old birthday candle that burned for 30 seconds.

Overall, I think it was one of my best brunch experience! What the hell, it was one of my best meal experience! The food was slightly above average. Prices weren't exactly cheap but it wasn't something unaffordable either. And the service, world class! Finally, I love the relax feel of the place; the decor, the people, everything. The only thing lacking was a view but well, we can't have it all, can we?

A view of the cafe.

Happy birthday, Ilysia! Let's do this again next year! Don't grow up too soon! Enjoy your babyhood... =)

wE're GoiNg tO tHe ZoO zOo zOO!!! (BuT wE'rE goINg FoR bReKKiE beForE tHat)

I miss the zoo! The last time I went was about 2-3 years ago when Ilysia wasn't borned yet. Bringing a kid to the zoo isn't as fun as I thought though. :S

Breakfast was good! After hearing so much about it and running past it almost every evening, I finally set foot on Kith!

Location:
Kith Café
7 Rodyk Street
Watermark @ Robertson Quay #01-33

It started with a bang, literally. Ilysia fell from the chair, hit her head on the table and lie flat on the floor! Everyone in the caf was super shock (including the ang moh who sat opposite and witnessed the whole incident)! I froze, Ivan picked her up and Vink was laughing loudly! :S I guess it happens to her ALL THE TIME because she's becoming quite an active little thing. Anyway she stopped crying like after 1 minute so yea, nothing serious... THANK GOD!

That's Ilysia exploring the caf.

And that's her JUST before her great fall...

First up, the Latte. Really good, I tell you! The texture was just right - slightly creamy and not too thin, but not too rich either. It was really bitter though. The aroma was strong. The first sip practically shook me up. But ya, it's one of the better lattes that I have tried. And it was only less than 4 bucks a cup! As you can see, they even put in the effort to create some patterns (a leaf, I supposed) with the cream, which I think is pretty rare in Singapore. 4.5 out of 5!

Lattes for 3 sleepy adults.

I had scrambled egg + cheese + bacon toastie. It was nice. There isn't anything that is super duper special about it but it was good. The cheese was well melted and blended well with the eggs. The bread was crispy but the eggs and cheese were juicy, so it wasn't too dry. Nice! I didn't really like the bacon though, but then again, I didn't really like bacons to begin with! :S And I think it's $5.50 so it's quite worth it, considering the quality was satisfactory. It came with a side of orange.

The toastie and my failed attempt to take a close up shot of what it's made out of...

Vink had something like toast bread with scrambled eggs. Came with it's jam and cheese spread. Ehhh really nothing much to comment on it, except we didn't like the jam (all 3 of us) but yet again, all 3 of us are not "jammers". Jams are too sweet for us. Vink thought the bread tasted weird while Ivan commented that the eggs tasted weird. So it's a weird combination. Both tasted ok to me. :S The bread was toasted to perfection. Just slightly crisp and had a nice sweet taste. It's a pity though that it wasn't hot enough to melt the cheese, so spreading the cheese was quite a chore.

Scrambled eggs with cheese and jam spread and a side of avocado for Miss Ilysia Lee Yan Jie. That's what caused her to hit her head... The evil avocado....

I think Ivan's was Cajun chicken? I only tasted the chips. Ivan said it was good.

The impressive presentation! Looks so tempting!

Frankly, there isn't much to talk about with regards to the food. Everything was up to standard but none really stood out. Nonetheless, I would definitely go there for breakfast/brunch in a more routine manner (provided I can wake up la). Other than the exceptionally good latte, why? It's just the whole place. It was tiny but cosy. Plus, everyone there is just so friendly. And I'm not talking only about the staff. The customers were all expats, mostly ang mohs with a pinch of Japs + us. Everyone just made some chats and talks here and there! I really like that. I haven't felt that cosy caf feel even since I came back from Beijing. Kith was 85% close to it except better (5% better prices and 5% better coffee and food) and worse (5% worse because the weather in Beijing was nicer when I was there :X) both at the same time. It's just the place and the people that made you compelled to go back for more, you get what I mean? Not too good for my already depleting savings...

Ok so pictures from the zoo, zOO, ZOO!!!
Ilysia throwing her new pink butterfly cap from the zoo away.

Vink trying hard to prevent her from removing the cap.

I couldn't help but take pictures of these animal chairs in KFC! So cute! And very lifelike too...

Ilysia in action!

FreeBiEs aRE GooD!!!

I met 小胖 for lunch today, 顺便 return him his shoes that he left in my car on Monday. I'm glad I did. The pair he's wearing open mouth already. Orzzzzzzz

Anyway I let him treat me today by simply not paying! 厉害吧?! Muahahahha.... He said he'll bring me to some nice Japanese restaurant and I must be prepared to pay. But ya, I gave him my usual reply "我什么都没有,就是有钱" And ya, since he paid, it's ok. =)

Location:
O-An Japanese Resturant
16 Raffles Quay
#B1-16 Hong Leong Building

The ambiance was towards the cosy side. Must be the lightnings. Service was prompt. Never had to ask for refills of tea. The place was pretty filled 10 minutes after we stepped in. Ermm it was lunch time so what do you expect? 小胖 noticed a lot of Japs in the restaurant. Yaaaa so must be good?

Here's what we ordered:
Tonkotsu Chashu Ramen
The shoyu was really super duper shoyu can????? I can practically taste ba ting in the soup! Luckily it's not my order...

Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen
Basically what I had was just the spicy version of what he had! Lol... But good leh! Minimum porky taste! I LIKE! And it isn't as spicy as it looks, just enough to cover the porky taste. And the soup is REALLY salty, like a bowl of authentic Japanese soup base! GOOD! Three thumbs up! And surprise, surprise, I finished all 3 pieces of chashu! The fats hor, really melts in my mouth (1001, 1002.... 1254 situps)! The lean part of the meat was very well stewed and marinated. It was practically sweet. But no la, people like Jac and Vink should still not touch these porks.

They boiled their eggs the Japanese way, you know, watery york and half boiled whites. 小胖 seemed super amazed by it. :S It was a little too salty though. And how come only gimme half the egg?! Zzzz... Japanese hard boiled eggs are my favourite lor!

The only problem with it really is the ramen. I just feel that it's a bit over cooked. Or maybe it was the kind of ramen they used. It's just too soft. It lacks that springy texture. But then again, it might be me la. Too critical.... :S Cos it's still acceptable ma.

I think the bill came up to about 24-26. But who cares? I'm not paying. =)

Ok, overall, I give 4 thumbs up! I borrowed 小胖's fingers.
1) The soup is really good!
2) They made me unable to resist taking all 3 chashu (need I say more?)
3) Egg is ehhh the Jap egg.
4) Service is excellent!
There you go, one point for each thumb!

Only complaint is, I sweat like nuts while I was eating! But then again, I'm pretty sure it's me la. Nothing to do with the air-con. :S Other than that, I give 4.5 out of 5! (The meal being free has nothing to do with the ratings.)

小胖! Let's do lunch again! I want more free meals. =) And no, I don't think I want to change my blog to www.yummyinmytummy.blogspot.com . Thanks much.

WAR!!!!! .... dRoBe....

2 half days! There's how long I took to go through my wardrobe! That's after clearing it once in the begining of the year! Guess I was more determined to thrash out clothes I will never wear again (and those that I THINK I will wear again). My room is now like a war zone with clothes lying everywhere from the chair to my bed to my keyboard! I can hear my neighbours cheering since I won't be able to perform my solo concert these few days. :S

I can't believe my mum and sis went to pick some of these shirts cos they said can wear at home... -.- Anyway if any of you want any of it, please do contact me. Some of them have only been worn less than 5 times. :S Otherwise, they will be going to the Salvation Army some time next week when I'm free.

I tend to categorise my stuff so please don't shock at how "organised" I am (because Miss Wong was amazed that I hang my clothes according to colours and fold them according to types. She said I'm starting to scare her... Why???) And yes, I have the ability to remember where I got my clothes from. I AM NOT A FREAK.:

The Blues
Not exactly my favourite colour but they are easy to match so I used to have quite a number of blue tops.... Until now....

Item 01

Bought this in the then Seiyu (and now BHG). Playboy was a hot brand back then!

Item 02
This was from DDP. Bought it at their then boutique in Bugis Junction (it was called Edge, right). I like the train cos it looked kinda evil and grahical, or so I thought. The boutique's not there any more right? Used to love how it hides itself in the corner, with the sun rays shining into the store.

Item 03
I purchased this from a Bossini in Taiwan 2 years ago during the grad trip. Got it because I had no clean clothes to wear and I couldn't find anything that I liked, so I thought I will just grab a couple of ok looking cheap t-shirts to tie through another day. So this is one of them. If you look carefully, the prints are actually made up of vintage beach photos. Oh ya, I remember seeing the Bossini Singapore selling both pieces when I came back, but it was ok. Didn't consider them as "something I bought in Taiwan" anyway. =)

Item 04
I can't believe I still kept this! There was this period where vintage came back with a vengence. You could practically see everyone wearing clothes with 3 stripes (the old Addias design). And this was mine!

The Turtle Necks
Turtle necks were popular in those days! It was quite an ABC thing somehow and everybody wanted to look like an ABC. Zzz.. Plus, Singapore wasn't this hot and humid back then.

Item 05

I wore this a lot back in my secondary school days.

Item 06Black/Maroon

Another one of my same design different colours collection. :S These were from Studio. I think they were quite a steal. The last time I wore the black one was at AA101 presentation back in NTU. After that, I just grew out of them... Literally... -.-

Item 07

One of my knitted shirts (There're about another 8 or 9 in my closet that I still don't bear to part...). This was from Seed (that Malaysian brand, if any of you can remember). I have a short sleeved version of this in light brown which I will keep forever and ever (until the next war, at least) because I can't believe I could actually squeeze into something so tiny!! Gosh...

The Polo Tees
Polo's are permant residents in my closet. They are versatile and always current. And in Singapore context, it helps me blend with the crowd, if you know what I mean. And ya la! Some of them quite bengish! But beng was in last time what! And no, I did not have a long comb at my back pocket or a long JPG wallet!

Item 08

Got this in Peninsula... I have no idea what's with the "8". Probably representing my figure now! =x

Item 09
I think this was from 37 degrees. I still like the design. Simple but with details. I don't think I will ever live the day where I can fit into it again, so I better leave it in the "to go" list before it got me even more depressed!

Item 10
This piece was from Zara. Eric was with me when I bought it. Forever will remember wearing this to that effective communications presentation! You know, the one where they filmed your presentation and let you play back and critise yourself on how fat you look? (OK! It's about how weird your accent is, how fast you were talking, how many ermmmm's you said and craps like these that we didn't really care.) And ya! I LOOKED REALLY FAT WEARING THIS! And I was ridiculed by my friends for weeks and sems after they saw the video! It's all because of the horizontal stripes! After that, I always wear this on the inside, with a pull over. AND I STILL LOOK FAT IN THIS! Arghhh!

Item 11
Vink bought this for me while she was in KL. Yes, it spells M-A-S-T-E-R but I'm not into this kind of kinky games! In fact, I just realised what the word was this morning. Ya ya I'm S-L-O-W la. Anyway I used to like wearing this with jeans and this pair of red leather shoes from POA (which Yun like to call "Macdonald's shoes". They were expensive, mind you! Think they're still hidden in my shoe rack..).

Earthly Brownies

Item 12

An OP T-shirt that I wear occasionally to BBQ or downstairs. I didn't like it because there was something hard and sharp behind those prints and it always poked my chest. As you can see, it requires intensive ironing.

Item 13

This was a Christmas present from Ivan during their first or second year of relationship. I used to wear this quite a lot until one day I realised that it couldn't contain me. I saw the figure "8" at my tummy and that was when i decided to 把它打进冷宫!

Item 14

Another gift, but from Danny when he was back from Bangkok, I think. Sorry la, but really not my style. :S

Hard Rockers
During the 80's and 90's Hard Rock mechanises were amazingly popular. In those days, people just stare at your chest to see which city that T-shirt says. People also wear tight jeans and had long explosive hair during those days.

Item 15

Vink bought this imitated T-shirt when she was in Phuket. Didn't wear much of it as the colour was too ermm fake. But no doubt about it, it really did fly over from Phuket!

Item 16
I bought this in Secondary 3 during the school trip to Beijing. I like the shirt, if not for the super small neck opening. Think it cost almost 30 sing? Or was it 20? Too long ago, can't remember. But I still remember that bitch senior who was in Secondary 5. She was a St. John member! Can't remember her stupid name. Anyone knows her? She acused me of not queueing up and made a big hoohaa out of it and "gin" me lor! HELLO!!!! My sister was queueing up and I was just looking at the sizes! At least bimbos have big boos and pretty face. She has no looks, no figure, poor complexion and apparently NO BRAINS! Might as well be dead. All she knows how to do was to wear super mini skirts during winter to show people she can tahan cold, and to act goody good shoes in front of the other bitchy teacher. But as I found out, she's a hated figure in St. John too. Why am I not surprised? And that teacher! She actually thought that there's something going on between my sister and I and attempted to seperate us when I was trying to take things out of my sister's bag! OMG! What kind of teacher is this?! Taught both of us for 2 years each + was the class parent of my sis for 2 years + I had super a lot of dealings with her because of the performances and competitions I was involved in, AND SHE DIDN'T KNOW WE WERE SIBLINGS! She despised people like us who were poor in Chinese (ya my Chinese was super jialiat when I was under her because she was one of those teachers who made me hated Chinese). I just hope no more students suffer under her.

Orange-ey
Orange, to me, is a very hip colour but it's super difficult to carry off. And so, after a few attempts, I gave up. No more oranges in my wardrobe! Out you go!

Item 17

A Hob Nob T-shirt I bought from a push cart in Seiyu. If I'm not wrong, I bought this due to the fact that the design is at the back of the T-shirt and there was a period were designs at the back were popular. And I realised I had none. Anywooo, I practically never wore this.

Item 18

Has anyone seen its twin brother in blue? Did I give it away during my last clean up????

Item 19

One of my super huge and oversized T-shirts. What can I say? I was an oversized kid (although I still am). Oh but I was trying to mimic the ABC look when I bought it, you know, everything oversized, including yourself??? :x I quite like this T-shirt actually but no la, I won't wear it again so no point keeping!

Gloomy Greys...

Item 20
Believe it or not, I had this when I was in primary school! But I have no recollection of wearing this at all. All I remember was always trying to fit into this as I really, really (I MEAN REALLY) like the colour of the shirt. It had that really vintage kind of white-yellow-grey which I don't see anymore. The "bulls" were really old school too. BUT, having said that, I have NEVER (I repeat, NEVER) squeezed into it before. It just stucked at my chest... Gave up trying, so off you go!

Item 21
FiDO DiDO!!! I super loved this T-shirt when I was in primary school because FiDO DiDO was so cool! And the material was really comfy! But what is it still doing in my closet after almost 15 years ar? I think I meant to wear this at home. Ehh I have enough singlets already + I'm usually topless at home. :S

Item 22

Yet another T-shirt from primary school. Cousin Karen bought this for me at Bishan Junction 8! Everyone had one of these in the 90's. Remember that golf guy logo??? I wanted to wear this as an inner wear but it's ok la. I think I'll just buy another one if I need a grey under garment.

Don't Ask!
Everyone has their moments of fashion disaster, just that some are more ermm disasterous than others. :S

Item 23

Hey! This was popular during my teens ok??? From Queensway Shopping Centre de hor!

Item 24

Similar to above, there was an era where prints at the bottom of shirts were labelled as "fashionable". Ya but I wore like twice maybe? Bought in the same period as above.

Item 25

Just don't! Shh! Shh!

Forced (Hall and Clubs T-shirts) and Freebies (also from hall and clubs)!
I have A LOT more from where these were coming from. Just keep some of them as momento sake (although I reckon I will start throwing them in another half a year). Each of them costs about 10-20 dollars and I have like practically 15 to 20 hall and club t-shirts. I was forced! Zzzz...

Item 26
My Hall FOC T-shirt! Personalised! My name is at the side, SEE! Thanks for the efforts, seniors! But I don't want the T-shirt any more... =X

Item 27

Think I got this when I was a backstage crew in the fund raising performance at the Singapore Conference Hall. Too long ago to remember.

Item 28
Ehhhh I didn't even know I was part of the student union. Probably from the Shuttle Bus Committee. Ya there was such a committee, until they forced everyone to pay for the shuttle bus service by putting it into the school fees.

Item 29
Wa lau got this from that super DL canvassing for the hall. For some stupid family day thingy at Suntec and that woman in charge was such a bitch! Had to work OT for being part timers and not paying us for it! CHEAPSTAKE!

Exposed! (My ka Mor)

Item 30
Woo my favourite pair of shorts in JC. But it's quite worn out already...

Item 31
From OP. I can't wear it anymore. It's an L. Probably got it when I was like 80kg+ or something.

Cover Up Please! (Jeans and Pants)
Last count, I had 20 pairs of jeans. =X Anyhow, I'm still keeping a couple of these jeans because I still like them even though I can't fit into them any more... But if someone wants to adopt them, please, please let me know. Save me from misery and cupboard space...

Item 32
Waaa this was my most worn pair of jeans from TopMan, until I couldn't button it. It was my first pair of TopMan jeans, and my first pair of faded jeans. And this was before Levi's came out with the faded jeans series. So I was super proud of myself for wearing it before the trend. Lol... But it's just now sitting there lonely in my closet, together with other jeans that I can't button. =X

Item 33

This was my favourite jeans! Low waist jeans from Seed. Levi's low waist just didn't fit me because my butt was too big for their sizes. Until I got this pair! It made me look taller but sadly, as you can see, I can even pull it pass my butt now... Sighz... Need more virgious dieting and running...

Item 34

I remember these! U bought it because we were taking a family protrait when Vink graduated. I didn't have a pair of formal pants back then so I went TopMan and got these, only to realise that the photographer did not take anything from the waist down. Thanks man! That was a relieve to know. -.- And this is probably my mini-est pair of pants I have. Look at those waist! I was trying the 3 days apple diet when I was in uni because I needed to wear these pants for a presentation! Pam, you remember these pants?! The super tight and mini ones! It's here now!

Item 35
From Studio. I like the material as it's very elastic, although you can't really tell by looking at it. And it's soft and hugging too so it made me look taller. Ya but it's hugging me too tightly now. =X

Item 36
My second pair of TopMan jeans. I went gaga over their flare cut back then so I went to get another 2 more pieces of this exact cut. This is one of them. I can still fit into the other one (because I bought bigger size, luckily) so I'm keeping it.

Item 37
My first pair of Levi's! And I didn't wear it often because Levi's jeans just don't fit me somehow!

Item 38
My sole surviving bells! I had 3 or 4 pairs and those were long donated because ya, I cannot wear already la! This is actually my favorite pair due to its soft and stretchable material. But no la, I don't see the 70's coming back any time soon.

Item 39
This is the weirdest pair of jeans I bought. I got it at a shop in People's Park because my mother, for some strange reason, brought us (Venus and I) up to this shop and made us buy jeans. She insisted that we get a pair so ya, here's the SHE CHOSE. But frankly, it's really really comfortable despite how out of shape it looks on me.

Item 40
My track pants from softball! I think I can still smell the mud on the pants! Lol

What's on my Head?? Caps!
I used to buy a lot of caps. They are great for covering up my super messy hair but it's a love and hate relationship. I can't help but sweat like nuts when I'm wearing caps (and when I'm not).

Item 41
Please ignore my complexion. The cap was from Venus when she went Shanghai. Please don't ask me why she got me this OVERSIZED beret. Never wore it before. Takers?

Item 42
Oh! From esprit! Got it at a discount when Khai Leng was working there. Rushed down to buy something that day and got these! I like them but the colours ran after one wash! Lousy!

Item 43
Ya ya I know, 戴绿帽... It's over 10 years old, mind you. My softball cap! =)

On my Feet...

Item 44
Oh I bought these from Beetle Bug for Vink's wedding! But didn't really wear them after her wedding cos they can't be matched with berms. Anyway this is taken by 小胖 already. =)

SERIOUSLY! Blogspot should consider making blogging easier! I took like 45 minutes at least to load the pictures because only 5 were allowed at one go + another 2-3 half days just to do the layouts cos the stupid alignments all gone haywired when they were on the page! Zzzz... Luckily, I needed to kill time.....
Still, I'm just glad it's finally over... All I need to do now, is to put everything I want back into the wardrobe... OK..... :S

DiM SuM HunKieS

Woot! My last day! Seriously kinda lost... Not really sure what's gonna happen after this but just hope for the best! 2/1/2 years flash past just like that... Can't believe... All the good friends I made, be it colleagues or clients or people who just come in for a few months. All of you have been really nice and tolerant towards me and my nonsense, and taught me a lot, be it technically or in life. Thanks! I won't forget the laughter and tears (especially when we had to work till 2-3am for months). It was a good exchange for friendship! =)

Anyway big thanks to Mr. Lee MT for bringing us to Geylang today! Before you think anything unrighteous, we were going there for the other F... FOOD! Yes we went for dim sum. Probably half of Singapore has been there before (even Yiwei did! I must have been living in a well all these years...), but i belong to the other half who hasn't. And thanks for wanting to treat us but you're a father now! Put your money to better use like buying milk powder and diapers! Lol...

Location:
揾到食
126 Sims Avenue

Here's a challenge: How do you pronounce “揾到食”? (A) Nie Dao Shi (B) Wen Dao Shi (C) Chang Dao Shi (D) Cheng Dao Si? If you choose (A) like Mr. Lee and Mr. Ou, then you are wrong! But if you choose (B) like moi, congratulations! Your cheena is as powderfully as meeee!

We had their signature tofu, siew mai, har kao, pan fried carrot cake, chicken's feet, mango-banana fritters (I think), curry cheong fun, hokkien mee and ice barley for drinks! YES ALL 3 OF US ONLY! Lol...
Ok here's the good: Signature tofu (SUPER SINFULLY! Covered with mayo or some dangerously fattening white sauce), Siew Mai (no porky taste), hokkien mee (SUPER GOOD.. The gravy sent an intensly strong prawn (?) taste to my tongue..), ice barley (SUPER DUPER GOOD but a bit too sweet for me. And I found dong gua!!! Eh winter melon, i..e...)
Average: Har Kao (Cos the skin broke!), pan fried carrot cake (not crisp enough for me but it's slightly above average)

Not so good: chicken's feet (because I didn't try as me no chicken!), mango-banana fritters (because me no banana eater!), curry cheong fun (SUPER weird combi... Curry and Cheong Fun don't go well together. No fusion and the flour taste of the cheong fun is just overwhelming for me personally. The curry itself was pretty good though. Spicy, every sense of the word... =X)

In the end, we only paid like about $34??? SUPER WORTH! Definitely value for money! =) All 3 dim sum dollies (not! Hunkies! =P) gave 2 thumbs up each! That's 1, 2, err... 3, 4, 5, 6 thumbs up!!!!

Of course, I did not forget to grab my favourite cup of rocher soya bean on my way back... =) I'm drinking it on your behalf, tauhua buddy!
